And when the locals are out enjoying a competitive game of “ice stock” - if you are one of those people who prefer to do, rather than to watch - you will have ample opportunity to try your hand at this high-spirited sport on ice rinks throughout the Saalach Valley.
All you need: a couple of friends, a little vim and vigour, and a good sense of humour. And when all said and done, many of the most memorable ice-stock experiences seem to end up at one of our cosy valley watering holes.
