For as long as anyone can remember, we have had a reputation as a kind of “snow trap”, always able to provide the perfect foundation for a wonderfully active winter vacation. And why not venture away from the slopes for once – for some cross-country skiing, perhaps?
A total of 80 km of superbly groomed cross-country trails make their way out across the entire Salzburg Saalach Valley.
And here with us, you will also find all kinds of opportunities for a high-spirited game of ice stock (a local favourite, similar to curling) – as well as for exciting sledding expeditions. Zip at lightning-fast speeds down our natural toboggan run, or tackle the picturesque descent from the Maria Kirchenthal pilgrimage church down to St. Martin. The Maria Kirchenthal run is partially illuminated by torches after dark. Perfect for chilly, romantic, red-hot tobogganing adventures.
If, despite all the other winter activities in St. Martin, you are still drawn to the ski slopes, our free ski shuttle will chauffeur you in a matter of minutes straight to the base of the lifts serving the Loferer Alm ski area. And of course, with an excitement-packed day of skiing now under your belt, it will also bring you safely back to St. Martin.
