At last the time has come - Miriam and Daniel get married. The surprise guests at the wedding include Daniel´s old friend Stefan and his family. While dancing Stefan suddenly collapses. Heart failure. The problems are acute. An artificial heart is required, but Stefan has severe financial problems. Daniel and Miriam forego their honeymoon and make every effort to operate on Stefan. Linda, Miriam's half sister appears to be pleasant but is secretly planning to become chief physician, by making friends with the heiress Rosi. She has a crush on Frederik and gives him a motorcycle as a present. Fred is thrilled. However, he is in a serious accident when he crashes into a mountain stream creek. Seemingly dead, he is rescued by Daniel and Max. Daniel does not give up. He knows that Fredrik has a tiny chance which he of life which he wants to make use of.
