Climbers village Weissbach
Weißbach is a small mountain village, nestled between the Steinerne Meer and the Leoganger Steinberge in Salzburg´s Saalachtal. In recent years, Weißbach has developed as a Mecca on the climbing scene with many climbing spots and about 800 climbing routes. Climbers will find everything from simple exercise climbing, crisp sport climbing and alpine climbing up to experience in multi-pitch climbing. Therefore there is an ideal backdrop and challenge for every climber: beginners, leisure climbers or finger hole specialists.
The climbing areas are within easy reach of the village. Right in the centre you will find the climbing rock "The Platt'n", with short and easy ascent climbing routes, as well as the "Small Verdon" and "Big Verdon, which offer climbing routes in the upper range of difficulty.
