A breathtaking mountain panorama and crystal clear mountain air
The extraordinary combination of the impressive natural scenery, the diversified program and, last but not least, the feeling of communion is the special feature of the “Stoabergmarsch”, which takes place for the eighth time in 2020 and is organised as a Green Event. And that’s why the number of participants, led by qualified local mountain guides, is constantly rising. No matter if young or experienced, native or guest: at the “Stoabergmarsch” hikers of any kind come together.

Looking back to the last Stoabergmarsch (2019)
The route took us along imposing natural spectacles over the most beautiful panoramic paths from Leogang to St. Jakob in Haus. In total, around 120 participants took part in the challenge. Right from the start, the participants are motivated and cared for. For example, musical serenades in between, as well as convivial breaks with regional delicacies, ensured that the many vertical meters were mastered with pleasure. Although the squad was very fit overall, 8 mountain athletes did not reach the end of their condition at the end of the race - they gave up early. The other participants fought a distance of 53km, covering a distance of 5340m (2960 alone in ascent). Exhausted but full of euphoria, the participants arrived at the Jakobskreuz next morning on the Buchensteinwand in the morning. Once there, the "finishers" were received with the traditional finisher shirt as a little "candy".
