Top Spot moosbach
Wild Bathing at the Top Spot in St. Martin
The Moosbach Top Spot is ideal for all those who want to spend a few pleasant hours with their family or friends without having to walk too far. In the middle of lush meadows and not far from St. Martin, you can enjoy a break here and relax in the comfortable, leaf-shaped wooden armchairs from the workshop of Martin Leitinger and cool your feet or even your whole body in the water after a strenuous hike or e-bike tour. The Moosbach, whose source is in St. Martin and joins the Saalach after flowing for around 5 km across the meadows and fields of the Lofer valley basin, presents itself at this very special place as a five-metre wide outlet pool and reveals its idyllic side. Children play at the big water wheel, run about on the meadow or build a dam with the stones in the water.
A historic place of rest
The Moosbach used to be a popular place for relaxation and rest but it was forgotten a long time ago and has only recently been brought to life again and designed as you experience it today. The wonderful views up to the peaks of the Loferer Steinberge, the Almenwelt Lofer and in both directions along the Salzburger Saalachtal leave a particularly special impression.
How you get to the top spot Moosbach?
The Top Spot is situated almost directly on the e-mountain bike tour up to Maria Kirchental and is ideal as a welcome rest area with the chance to cool off. The romantic high valley with its popular pilgrimage church is a popular place for an excursion in the Salzburger Saalachtal and the Moosbach can be reached by (e-)bike or on foot. It takes around 20 minutes, strolling leisurely, to reach the Moosbach from the bus stop St. Martin – Grubhof on the bus route 260. By car, you can park in the immediate vicinity at Gasthof Hochmoos.
