In 1993, speleologists from Poland discovered another entrance at a height of 2,178 meters. This means that the Lamprechtsh\u00f6hle is currently the largest through cave in the world. In the part of the cave that is open to visitors, you hike around 700 meters into the mountain and overcome a height difference of 70 meters to reach the spacious platform, from which you have an impressive view of a large part of the well-lit cave.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All information for your visit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Opening hours:<\/strong> Beginning of May to end of October daily from 8.30 am to 7 pm &amp; November to April and weekends from 9 am to 5 pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of heavy rainfall, the groundwater rises and the cave has to be closed. You can find the daily updated information here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Duration:<\/strong> Walking time approx. 1 hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Entrance fees:<\/strong> Admission is free with the Salzburger Saalachtal Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.naturgewalten.eu\/deutsch\/preise\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.naturgewalten.eu\/deutsch\/preise\/\">You can find the current prices here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parking:<\/strong> A (paid) parking lot is located directly at the entrance to the cave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to get there:<\/strong> Arrival by public bus (line 260) is recommended, as the bus stop on the B311 is located directly in front of the Lamprechtsh\u00f6hle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Catering:<\/strong> Regional dishes and cool drinks, as well as coffee and cake or an ice cream for the kids are available right at the entrance, in the Lamprechtsh\u00f6hle inn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our tip:<\/strong> Dress warmly &#8211; the temperature in the cave is 4 &#8211; 6 degrees all year round. From the end of May to the end of October, you can explore the Lamprechtsh\u00f6hle cave every Tuesday with our singing hiking guide Hermann on the lantern hike at 7.30 pm. During this exclusive guided tour, you will learn a lot of background knowledge about the cave and, of course, the legend of the knight Lamprecht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
