The gorge has been open to visitors since 1831. Over a length of 600m, solid wooden walkways and steps lead through this natural visitor magnet in the Salzburger Saalachtal. Past hissing waterfalls and high above the wildly gushing water, the path leads into the gorge to the dark gorge, whose narrow rock faces barely let any sunlight through. At various stations, they learn, for example, which bird can imitate the ringing of a cell phone, which plants grow in the gorge and the names of the trees around it. And if you look closely, you might even discover the friendly gorge ghost who guards the gorge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Opening times:<\/strong> Early May to mid-September daily from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm and from mid-September daily from 9 am to 5 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July and August, it is advisable to visit the gorge in the morning or late afternoon, when it is a little quieter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Duration:<\/strong> Pure walking time approx. 1 hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Entrance fees:<\/strong> Admission is free with the Salzburger Saalachtal Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a
