Advent Market at the Pilgrimage Church

What’s the best way to get into the Christmas spirit? At the Maria Kirchental Mountain Christmas, of course. At the traditional craft market, stallholders await you with handmade products such as pottery, home-sewn items and regional specialities. In addition to 2 free concerts, there will be an alpine Advent song entitled ‘Auf d`Weihnacht zua’ (Towards Christmas) and – new this year – a concert by the Hollerstauden. Children can shorten the waiting time for the Christ Child with handicrafts in the Christmas workshop with elf ‘Billy’, the hands-on theatre and the Engerl post office. Of course, there is once again a shuttle service (for a fee) from the toll station in St. Martin. Free parking is available in the centre of St. Martin. The hike up to the mountain christmas takes about 1 hour

The Mountain Christmas will take place on 7 + 8 December 2024 and 14 + 15 December 2024.

Saturday, 7th December Advent market from 2 pm, free entry 3 pm “Advent melodies for the Christmas season” A special Advent concert with the pupils of the Musikum under the direction of Kapellmeister Andreas Wimmer. Admission to the Christmas concert is free, voluntary donations for the music students are welcome.
Sunday, 8th December Advent market from 11 am, free entry 3 pm “Gemeinsam auf’s Christkind woatn” with the “Hollerstauden”. The “Hollerstauden” concert with their authentic and atmospheric songs is probably one of the highlights of the Maria Kirchental mountain Christmas. Saturday, 14th December Advent market from 2 pm, free entry 3 pm “Should it be Christmas again…” Christmas concerts by Göko + CO With their self-written songs and poems, the musicians want to invite you to reflect and pause for a moment, so that Christmas can once again be a celebration of love and harmony. Admission to the Advent concert is free – donations for the musicians are gladly accepted.
Sunday, 15th December Advent market from 11 am, free admission 3 pm “Towards Christmas” Alpine Advent singing The Alpine Advent Singing with its Advent folk songs and melodies, sung and played by: Gruber Zwoagsong, Wetterkreuz Musi, Voglauer Sänger and the Weisenbläser of the Trachtenmusikkapelle Unken.
