In spring, summer and autumn, Lofer is the ideal starting point for trips by bike/mountain bike or on foot. You can choose from all levels of difficulty. In the valley bottom, flat biking and hiking trails pass through meadows and forests and run alongside brooks and rivers.

The Augusta promenade leads you along the river Lofer in comfortable silence, or the Logging Path along the roaring Saalach, meadows and pastures will give rest to your soul. The Saalach is not only a well-known and challenging championship canoe route, here you can also participate in water sports and meet teammates.

In winter, the large community of skiers and snowboarders takes to the cable cars and lifts of the ALMENWELT Lofer, to enjoy hours of fun on groomed slopes surrounded by pristine mountains. A stroll through the town centre will round off your holiday perfectly. Panels providing historical background information are located near historic buildings and important sites. Window shopping is also on offer.

In cafés and restaurants many delicacies of the Saalachtaler cuisine are served. Do not miss the hustle and bustle in the squares of the pedestrian zone in summer and in winter the après ski, a few rounds with friends!
