The “Pinzga Hatscha” offers an exciting route for long-distance hikers with 15 stages and a total of around 390 km through the diversity of the Pinzgau region. The route is covered on foot, with summer mountain lifts and public transport offering practical travel assistance.

The Salzburger Saalachtal, Hochkönig, Maishofen, Viehhofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm and Saalfelden Leogang have joined forces to cross the Pinzgau with an extraordinary long-distance hiking trail. With a length of 393 kilometres and over 9,000 metres of ascent and descent spread over 15 stages, the Pinzga Hatscha challenges the hiking spirit.

Whether you cross the rocky landscape of the Steinernes Meer, hike over the green ridges of the Spielberghorn or experience the power of water in the Seisenbergklamm gorge – the “Hatscha” has everything to make a mountain lover’s heart beat faster. The trail is suitable for experienced long-distance hikers as well as beginners and families, who can find the right route for them among the various stages. Numerous mountain huts along the way provide the necessary refreshments and invite you to take a cosy break with hearty alpine cuisine.
