Skiing in the Salzburger Saalachtal
Dream slopes for the whole family
The multi-award winning beginners’ ski pistes in the Almenwelt Lofer and idyllic Unken Heutal are the perfect playgrounds for Mum, Dad, the kids and the grandparents too.
Family-friendliness is of the utmost importance in the Salzburger Saalachtal. Here this is much more than the typical Pinzgauer hospitality or family-friendly prices, wide and flat pistes – ideal terrain for beginners, children and returning skiers.
The Almenwelt Lofer
Winter sports enthusiasts will find perfectly groomed pistes and modern, childproof chairlifts in the Almenwelt Lofer. Not without reason has the ski area, with 10 cable cars and lifts as well as 46 kilometres of pistes, received numerous awards and top marks in the category of family-friendliness. For the smallest skiers there is a Children’s Land (Kinderland) with a 140 metre long, covered, magic carpet which brings the children comfortably uphill. For all those who are already at home on the slopes, the Lofi Funline offers exciting adventures next to the Family Express lift.
The Ski Area Heutal
As well as the Almenwelt Lofer, skiing in Heutal is also a real insider’s tip for family. The small ski area Heutal, situated between 1000 and 1600 metres with 3 drag lifts, is also attractive with value for money family tickets.
Service without End
Two ski schools which specialize in families. Value for money ski passes help the family budget. Ski busses, which run every ½ hour and ski depots directly at the valley station offer top comfort.
