Arrival & Location

You can reach the bathing area at Grubhofsteg from both St. Martin and Lofer in approx. 30 minutes on foot or by bike. Follow the cycle and hiking path between the Saalach and the edge of the forest to the Grubhofsteg over the Saalach (at the campsite). There are opportunities for swimming on both sides of the river.

Parking: In Lofer or St. Martin town center, parking at the campsite is not permitted.

Bus stop: Line 260 St. Martin Grubhof (from here approx. 10 min walk past the campsite)

Small sandy bays on the riverbank with sunbathing facilities in a sunny location.

Insider Tip

Pay attention to the water level of the Saalach, if there is too much water the river can quickly develop a strong current.
