Discover the Winter Anew in Salzburger Saalachtal
On a winter hike you will discover the gentle side of the Salzburger Saalachtal: from idyllic, comfortable and prepared walking paths in the valley right up to the alpine areas. The best thing about winter hiking is that, apart from warm winter boots and suitable winter clothing, you need no special equipment so you can get straight out into nature quickly and easily to enjoy the fresh air and soak up the sun.
There is a marvellous winter hike in the Almenwelt Lofer, the Almenwelt Circuit, which begins at the mountain station of the Almbahn II. Here you can choose between 1.5 and 4 km long, prepared hiking trails; marvel at the surrounding mountain landscape and watch the skiiers and snowboarders carving their turns.
