ALM Summer Opening
Due to the situation around COVID-19, the Alpine summer opening, which was planned for 2020, will be postponed to June 13, 2021 in the Almenwelt Lofer.
When the cows, horses, sheep and goats have relocated to their lush, green summer quarters on the Salzburg alpine pastures after a successful alpine pasture lift, the official start of the alm summer is heralded with numerous opening festivals throughout SalzburgerLand.
Every year on the weekend before the summer solstice, a different region in the SalzburgerLand has the honor of hosting a lavish festival for the opening of the summer in the Alps. The opening of the country in summer is a fun get-together of musicians and hikers. You can spoil yourself with regional delicacies and classic alpine delicacies. Visitors have the opportunity to look over the shoulder of traditional artisans at work or to have fun with the alpine dance. When the big alpine summer bell rings over the mountain pastures, the new alpine summer season has officially opened.
The alm summer 2021 will open in the Almenwelt Lofer
The official nationwide Alm summer opening will be celebrated at the Kechtalm in the Almenwelt Lofer.
The rustic hut of the Flatscher family is a real gem at 1,530 m above sea level in the enchanting nature of the Almenwelt Lofer.
